Who is responsible

The data controller is the owner of Fix My Chess. Contact: salva@bluenoise.es.

First things first: your analysis happens on YOUR device

Game analysis runs entirely in your browser. Your games are fetched directly from the public Lichess or Chess.com APIs to your device, and the chess engine (Stockfish) runs locally. We never upload your games to a server for analysis. Without an account, we store nothing.

What we process (only with an account)

We do not collect browsing data for advertising, we use no third-party trackers, and we never sell or share your data.

First-party anonymous metrics: we record aggregated usage events (e.g. “diagnosis completed”) and technical errors to improve the product — with no personal identifiers, no cookies and no third parties. They cannot be linked to you.

Ranking and leagues (optional)

If you join the ranking or a league, you voluntarily publish your Lichess/Chess.com handle and your app stats (estimated ELO, evolution, chapters, streak), visible to anyone. You can leave at any time from the same page — your row is deleted instantly.

Legal basis and purpose

We process this data to provide the service you request (contract performance, GDPR art. 6.1.b) and, for the newsletter, with your consent (art. 6.1.a), which you can withdraw at any time from any email.

Where it lives

We use Supabase (database and authentication), Fly.io (hosting) and Resend (transactional email) as processors with their own GDPR guarantees.

For how long

For as long as you keep your account. If you delete it, all your data is removed immediately and irreversibly (deletion is available on your account page).

Your rights

You can exercise access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction and portability by writing to salva@bluenoise.es. You may also lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority.
